Our spray metal polished rods are manufactured to meet API Specification 11B (latest edition) and AISI Steel Products Manual standards. These ultra-high tensile strength rods feature long stroke capability and exceptional corrosion resistance, making them ideal for demanding oilfield applications.
Advanced Manufacturing Process
Manufactured from high-quality alloy steel, each rod undergoes precise heat treatment through quenching and tempering processes. The rod surface is metal sprayed with nickel-based alloy (Ni35) to enhance corrosion and wear resistance, ensuring extended service life in harsh environments.
Polished rods feature cold-formed, fully rolled threads that provide superior strength and fatigue resistance. The cold-forming process reshapes steel fibers to follow the thread contour, creating a thread surface with improved corrosion resistance and reduced abrasion within the thread profile.
The work-hardened flank delivers increased surface tensile, yield, and shear strength. Pressure deformation during manufacturing creates a residual compressive stress system at the thread root, effectively counteracting tensile loading. This results in significantly enhanced load capacity, corrosion resistance, and fatigue performance compared to cut or burnished threads.
